Disability Confident Committed

Someone is disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if they “have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities.” 

About the Disability Confident Scheme

As of May 2020, there are currently 8.1 million people of working age in the UK who have a disability.

Over 17,000 organisations in the UK who are now Disability Confident Committed Certified and committed to overall equality in the workplace.

Being a certified Disability confident Committed charity helps us to successfully employ and retain disabled people and those with health conditions.

As a charity, we signed up to the Disability Confident scheme to do our part in helping to play a leading role in changing overall attitudes of disability for the better within the creative arts.

We have always fully supported all our existing employees who currently have or acquired a disability or long-term health condition, enabling them to stay in work.
