Taking pART project:
Supported by the Kent Community Foundation and the Dulverton Trust we are offering commissions for artists to plan and deliver accessible art activities which prioritise the over 60’s In Swale, Kent, UK. The aim of these workshops is to inspire communication in the community so that particularly the vulnerable and isolated can be brought together to foster creative connections, enjoy a form of expression and learn or develop new skills.
Taking pART workshops have started with great enthusiasm with a small group outdoors at Stalisfield Green; local participants are enjoying the opportunity to meet other people in a covid safe and engaging environment.
We are pleased to announce that we will be working with the organisation Friendly Faces of Kent to deliver interactive workshops for two of their community groups. These are planned to take place between mid-June and July 2021.
Due to covid restrictions, the classes may begin small and then increase in the number of participants. For the safety of everyone involved government guidance will be strictly adhered to and therefore numbers of participants may be subject to change. Some of our workshop leaders may incorporate outside space for their classes so that sessions can include more people.
Please feel free to contact us via our email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any queries or private workshop hire or if you wish to nominate a community for future workshops.
New applications for teaching opportunities are now closed however we hope when more funding is secured we will advertise future opportunities here on our website or on our social media pages (@InASpaceArts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).
In a Space is an inclusive charity that welcomes multidisciplinary artists of diverse backgrounds and experience. We look forward to considering all applications.
