Over the course of 2022, we were fortunate to collaborate with The Stalisfield Village Hall Trust to deliver art workshops supported by The Arnold Clarke Community Fund. The Arnold Clark have provided financial support to community groups and charities since 2020, to aid those who were significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The funding and the village hall facility enabled us to deliver intergenerational art activities for local residents which enhanced a sense of community belonging and engagement. For some people it was the first time they has attended group activities since the covid pandemic.
We were fortunate to work with 5 brilliant community artists who delivered a variety of workshops including zine making, animation, Linocut printing , puppet making, ceramic mug and Christmas gift painting. Each artist is listed below
Due to the location of the village hall quite a few of our local artists got to take advantage of the outside space and soak up some wonderful kentish contry side along side the creativity.
The project overall benefitted in the region of 40 local residents some of whom experienced mental and physical issues which were exacerbated by the pandemic. We are hoping to deliver further workshops in person during 2023 when more funding is secured.
